The ARC SERIES 2016-2017

The Arc Series first came through my doing black ink drawings. I suppose from my unconscious. Then the arcs came out in color in a children’s Ronald Stern workshop. By then I asked myself what do these arcs have to tell me?
Through completing nine canvases I found myself exploring different ways of putting on the paint but always respecting the structure or pattern of the arc.
At the end I even had a philosophical take for the series.
We humans all live under the arc of the sky. We have taken this into our architecture as a graceful entry and exit to our important buildings. In and under these arcs we can all be different———- although not always.
The last painting found me respecting the early arc structures and going away from them and through a window forward to ?
